Richard Orlinski
Born in Paris in 1966, Richard Orlinski is a French sculptor who has taken the art world by storm with his bold, colorful, and instantly recognizable sculptures. Orlinski's artistic journey began in the early 2000s, and his unique style quickly gained international acclaim. His monochromatic diamond-cut sculptures of wildlife and cultural icons have earned the artist international acclaim.
Inspired by Pop artists Jeff Koons, Takashi Murakami, and Robert Indiana, Orlinski uses industrial materials like resin and aluminum to craft highly pigmented and polished renderings of bears, panthers, and his signature subject, King Kong. Based on his overarching artistic theme, “Born Wild,” Orlinski’s sculptures speak to the duality of animal and human within all of us and humanity’s ability to channel its most animalistic instincts into something refined.
