Srinjoy

Srinjoy Gangopadhyay was born in Kolkata, India, in 1986. Growing up in a family of artists, he recognized from a young age that he was destined to be an artist himself. He earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Government College of Art & Craft in Kolkata in 2010. Later, he completed his Master of Fine Arts at the Savannah College of Art & Design in Atlanta, Georgia, in 2015. During his time at SCAD, Srinjoy was awarded a prestigious juried residency at the Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts in New York. In 2014, Srinjoy was selected as a Curatorial Assistant for the TIME::CODE exhibition at the WhiteBox Art Center in New York. This exhibition, curated by Raul Zamudio and Juan Puntes, played a significant role in shaping Srinjoy's career and featured internationally renowned artists, including Ai Weiwei. Read more
