Off The Wall Gallery Presents: Bernie Taupin: Reflections & The Sixties
Bernie Taupin is a multi-award-winning songwriter whose words have captivated audiences worldwide. In addition to his unparalleled musical contributions, Taupin is a gifted visual artist who expresses his creativity through diverse mediums.
Reflections & The Sixties delves into the heart of a pivotal era, showcasing a captivating collection of Taupin’s original artwork and hand-signed prints. This exhibition offers a unique glimpse into his personal and professional reflections on the social and cultural movements that shaped a generation, intertwined with his lifelong journey of writing songs and creating art.
“Reflections” celebrates five decades of partnership with Sir Elton John. Taupin shares, “Fans often share that my lyrics and Elton’s melodies have shaped and changed their lives in dramatic, everlasting ways. How can I express my gratitude to the millions of fans who have impacted my life? These specially crafted works of art are my best effort, and I am so pleased to share this very personal art with you.”
Taupin’s new series, “Two Sides of the Sixties,” is making its US debut at Off The Wall Gallery. It features a stunning and irreverent collection of reimagined photographs by his good friend, the late British artist Terry O’Neil. Terry O’Neil was both a great friend and an inspiration. His personality behind the camera was an infectious and kinetic pantomime of chaotic charm.”
This exhibition is a must-see for fans of music, art, and the cultural history of the 1960s.
