Hanami Silver XXXII

Antonio Sannino
Hanami Silver XXXII, 2025.
Original Oil painting on aluminum and epoxy resin.
Hand-signed on verso and wall-ready.

Antonio Sannino captures the fleeting beauty of spring through luminous cherry blossoms set against a soft silver ground. Inspired by the Japanese tradition of hanami, the composition layers delicate pinks, whites, and fresh greens with expressive brushwork that creates depth, movement, and shifting light. Painted on aluminum, the surface enhances the glow and atmosphere of the piece, blending figurative elements with an Informal sensibility. The result is a refined and radiant celebration of renewal, offering a serene yet striking presence for any collection.

Hanami translates to flower viewing. It is the centuries-old Japanese tradition of welcoming spring by enjoying the transient beauty of flowers, primarily cherry blossoms (sakura).
