The music video for Robert Palmer’s song “Addicted To Love” was mentioned by Bernie Taupin when he said that the video with all the identical models had been close to his vision of how Bennie And The Jets could’ve looked like: a futuristic rock and roll band of androids fronted by some androgynous beauty. The stuttering of the word “Bennie” was Elton John’s idea to add the futuristic and robotic theme to the lyrics.
