Donald Sultan’s Fruit, Flower, and Fish series is a group of paintings and prints that were created between 1989 and 1991. The series is characterized by the use of bold colors and its semi-abstract style. The works depict everyday objects such as fruits, flowers, and fish. However, the works are not simply realistic depictions of these objects. Instead, Sultan uses a variety of techniques to transform them into something more abstract and evocative.
