The predominantly white palette gives this particular Poppies composition a distinctive character. White forms and dark contrasting elements create a sophisticated visual tension, while the restrained palette allows Sultan’s use of shape and texture to become especially prominent. The result feels simultaneously organic, graphic, and architectural.

This relationship between nature and substantial materials is central to Sultan’s artistic language. Familiar subjects such as flowers and fruit become vehicles for exploring beauty, fragility, permanence, repetition, and the relationship between representation and abstraction.
