The Price of Vision
Edward Spitz
The Price of Vision, 2025.
Original Mixed media acrylic and resin on original Wall Street Journal pages from 1962.
This artwork is wall-ready.
The Price of Vision by Edward Spitz is a striking original mixed media work that merges iconic imagery with layered cultural commentary. Set against authentic WSJ vintage newspaper pages, the composition carries a sense of history while engaging directly with contemporary themes of ambition, wealth, and opportunity. Uncle Scrooge, the central figure, rendered in bold, hand-painted detail, is executed entirely freehand. No stencils or collage elements are used. Each mark is applied by the artist, making every work a true original with its own distinct character and presence.
