As Mackenzie walks through his studio daily, he passes by various sculptures on shelves and tables; on this particular day, he walks by Feed The Birds cast in Parian ( all white); he then sees the heart like a brilliant red color, which takes him by surprise. He liked the vision enough to follow through on the idea and painted it completely. Even in challenging times, there are moments of brilliance and time to explore and cherish the small things.
