“We all need a Good Shepherd, we never know how long a journey will be or where it will take us… through its ups and downs, twists and turns, but with family, community, and a Good Shepherd, we can all get there!” – Mackenzie Thorpe.
Parian is a fine, white, unglazed porcelain developed in England in the 19th century to resemble marble from the Greek island of Paros. Valued for its smooth surface and soft, translucent quality, it became a favorite material for sculptors and manufacturers who wanted to create artworks with the look of carved marble at a lower cost. Parian was widely used for figurines, busts, and decorative pieces, admired for its ability to capture light and detail with remarkable elegance. In short: Parian = porcelain that imitates marble, prized for its smooth texture and luminous finish.
