In Afternoon Light, Mario Jung captures the moment when sunlight stretches across a quiet country road, casting long shadows toward fields of blue flowers. A luminous white-blossomed tree anchors the scene, while rolling hills and bands of red blooms carry the eye into the distance. The open road gives the composition an inviting sense of movement, as though something beautiful is waiting just beyond the next turn.

Jung’s expressive impasto brings remarkable depth to the flowering tree and surrounding fields, allowing the landscape to shift as light moves across its textured surface. Warm earth tones balance the cool blues and soft greens, creating a scene that feels peaceful yet full of anticipation. Afternoon Light celebrates the pleasure of an unhurried journey and the beauty discovered along the way.
