Sand-casting is an ancient metal casting technique that has only recently been adapted for glass; the process is mastered by only a few artists worldwide. Liquid molten glass is poured into individual sand molds and destroyed after each creation process, yielding a one-of-a-kind glass sculpture that evokes allusions to ancient cultures and civilizations.
