Peter Max is an American artist of German-Jewish origin known for his use of bright colors and psychedelic imagery. His work is often associated with the visual arts and culture of the 1960s, and he is considered one of the most iconic artists of that era. Max’s paintings, prints, and designs have been featured on everything from album covers to postage stamps, and he has also created official artwork for numerous major events, such as the Grammy Awards and the Super Bowl. He is a lifelong advocate for peace and environmentalism; his work often reflects these themes.
