“Walking in Reeds” is a series of paintings by Peter Max, a German-born American artist known for his bold, colorful, and psychedelic style. The paintings typically depict a figure, often in red, walking through a field of reeds against a vibrant sunset. Max has said that he was inspired to create the paintings after seeing a field of reeds swaying in the wind. He was struck by the beauty of the scene and the sense of peace that it evoked.
