Leda, the wife of Tyndareus, the King of Sparta, was seduced by Zeus disguised in the form of a swan. Leda then bore Zeus’ children, Helen and Polydeuces, at the same time as bearing her husband’s children, Castor and Clytemnestra. © The Argillet Collection.
