Place Furstenberg is a unique, hand-colored etching by Salvador Dalí from the celebrated Argillet Collection. Dalí enriched the etched composition with watercolor, gouache, and ink, transforming the Parisian setting through his expressive use of color and imaginative detail. The work refers to Place de Furstemberg (technically Rue de Furstemberg), a tiny, romantic square located in the heart of the Saint-Germain-des-Prés neighborhood in the 6th arrondissement of Paris, where Pierre Argillet had an art gallery.
