“In 1973, Dali and my father decided to create a series of Bleu de four Limoges plates, individually numbered to 2000, based on six famous etchings from the late 1960s. This series was intended to be displayed as a Surrealist Limoges environment in Dali’s house and museum, as well as in my father’s museum of Surrealism. There is also an individual plate with a wonderful graphic art in relief called “Gretchen” from the Faust series. The Limoges manufacturer has rendered the delicate lines of the drawing as well as the pastel colors perfectly” – Christine Argillet.
