Born in Lebanon in 1952, Samir Sammoun began painting at the age of 13, inspired by the olive groves and sunlit landscapes of his homeland. After moving to Montreal in 1973, he became a Canadian citizen and, by the mid-1990s, devoted himself fully to art. His signature palette knife impressionist style has brought him international acclaim, with exhibitions across North America and works in collections worldwide. Today, Sammoun is celebrated for his luminous landscapes, vibrant seascapes, and iconic olive tree paintings. His paintings are collected worldwide.
