Accomplished impressionist style painter Samir Sammoun began working with oils at the age of thirteen in Beirut, Lebanon, at his family’s 1000-year-old olive plantation. As the son of an olive grove farmer, he always found inspiration in the surrounding landscape. After completing his art studies, he moved to Canada and pursued a career in engineering and telecommunications. He returned to fine art in the late 1970s and has not stopped since. His works are found in museums worldwide and in corporate and private collections. Samir’s artistry, warm personality, and artistic expertise in capturing beauty and emotion through canvas have fostered a legion of art collectors from around the globe. The artist currently resides and works in Montreal, Canada.
